This vessel was designed by German Frers, it was built for an owner devoted to speed and it’s a real thoroughbred with some interesting features.

With a vectran-carbon and cuben fibre sail wardrobe from Quantum, the Alarife, also known as BD A-100, carries a total of 463,7 square meters upwind and 934,32 square meters downwind, producing 11 knots beating and 13 knots running. Ararife has a 41,5 metre carbon mast made by Southern Spars. In profile she is sleek, her low coachroof barely higher than the main cockpit combing, which leaves an unusual amount of space between the coachroof and boom and gives an appearance of utilitarian racing lineage.
